
Assistant Engineering Manager

- Ensure proper storage, organization, and availability of engineering equipment, spare parts, chemicals, and tools.
- Coordinate procurement and inventory control with maintenance and project teams, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Oversee the reliability, efficiency, and safe operation of utility systems including steam, compressed air, water, and electricity.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and reduce energy waste.
- Monitor and manage the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to ensure compliance with environmental standards and local regulations.
- Collaborate with external vendors or consultants for system upgrades, audits, and compliance matters.
- Assist in planning and executing engineering and facility upgrade projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, timeline, and cost requirements.
- Support the implementation of TPM, Lean, and Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards across all equipment, utilities, and facilities.
- Participate in internal and external audits, maintaining all engineering safety and compliance documentation.
- Drive preventive maintenance programs and contribute to root-cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).
- A registered member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- At least 5 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience in the F&B manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of utility systems, WWTP operations, and safety regulations.
- Background in managing engineering stores or maintenance inventories is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Independent, proactive, and equipped with strong problem-solving abilities.
