Job Description:About the Role:Grade Level (for internal use): 05Geospatial Ports InternWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Geospatial Ports Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of geospatial data analysis and port management. The intern will assist in various projects related to the collection, analysis, and visualization of geospatial data pertaining to ports and terminals.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the team in gathering and analyzing geospatial data related to ports.
  • Assist in the enhancement of the Port Boundary zones project.
  • Collaborate with team members.
  • Participate in data quality checks and contribute to the documentation of processes and findings.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) and data visualization tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manipulate geospatial data.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of ports and their layout.
