Job Description:The DFM (Design for Manufacturability) PCB Technician will support engineering in the verification of electronic components and hardware projects in order to support printed circuit board design for high technology electronic assemblies. This role collaborates globally with members of R&D Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, and other business units to help drive the highest quality of our products.Core Responsibilities

Validation of component footprints (cells) based on IPC standards, datasheets, and Valor DFM
Perform DFM fabrication and assembly analysis using Siemens Valor software along with internal tools and customizations.
Collaborate with design and validation engineers and technicians to review and document design rules and deviations.
Other duties may include component footprint design and validation, schematic validation as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Diligence with extreme attention to detail
Strong computer skills and work ethic
Ability to read electrical, mechanical & technical documentation.
Strong written/verbal communication skills - can clearly and concisely communicate in English so that persons you work with can understand you clearly, particularly in technical conversations.
Diploma in Electronics or equivalent work experience and other education.

Preferred Qualifications

A clear understanding of PCB electronics and/or manufacturing processes
Working experience with Valor DFM or Genesis software a plus
Persistent
Takes initiative and good problem solving skills
Strong organizational skills
Preferable 3-5 years' work experience
