With a rich history since 1961 and a presence across Asia, our client is known for its family values and strong partnerships with industry-leading producers.Role Overview:The Technical Sales Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the development and growth of Commodity Plastics and Plastic Polymers. This position is essential for maintaining our competitive edge by providing technical expertise, driving customer-focused innovation, and enabling project development in collaboration with sales teams, customers, and strategic suppliers.Key Responsibilities:

Proactively manage and follow up on both internal and external customer project pipelines to ensure progress and technical alignment.
Partner closely with sales teams and target markets to deliver innovative technical solutions that foster business growth and create value.
Develop in-depth expertise in product offerings from key suppliers and support the creation of new product lines that meet changing market needs.
Propose customized, high-value product solutions tailored to specific customer applications.
Work collaboratively with strategic suppliers and sales teams to provide accurate formulation support, coordinate trials, conduct technical evaluations, and manage sample logistics to drive material adoption.
Assist customers with the development of new projects by offering technical guidance and custom solutions.
Discover and develop new materials and technologies to enhance the sales team's capabilities and strengthen competitive advantages.
Maintain regular communication with the sales team to identify new opportunities, encourage product trials, and support customer conversion.
Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform product positioning and strategy.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and business goals.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a technical specialist or technical support role within the plastics polymers industry.
In-depth knowledge of plastic processing, materials, and formulations, especially polyethylene and other commodity plastics.
Strong project ownership and ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
Excellent time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Strong industry insight in Southeast Asian polymer markets is a distinct advantage.
Degree in Business Administration, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in English; other Southeast Asian languages are a plus.
