- Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide insights to management for informed decision-making.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Consolidate financial statements for subsidiaries or divisions.
- Liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
- Develop and manage the company's annual budget and rolling forecast.
- Monitor and analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast.
- Prepare budget justifications and presentations for senior management.
- Manage cash flow and working capital.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Partner with the management team to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives and investments.
- Support the development and implementation of long-term financial plans.
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of performance management systems for the finance department.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or equivalent preferred)
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in a senior finance role
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
