Role Summary We seek a dynamic and passionate individual to fill the position of Trainee Quality Engineer (Test Automation). The candidate must have a firm grasp of end-to-end test automation execution that includes great understanding of test automation frameworks, test automation tools, and its execution in CI environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions in the areas of Automation, Continuous Testing, Continuous Delivery, Shift Left Testing, etc. Analyze data for discrepancies; identify issues with data processing, to ensure data standards and integrity are maintained. Design, develop and execute automated integration and user-acceptance tests, as well as unit tests using both black-box and white-box testing techniques if necessary Determine estimated level of effort for test planning purposes. Test preparation, including developing manual and automation scripts as well as reviewing test cases based on User Stories and Acceptance Criteria. Test execution including Exploratory, Manual and Automated tests in different environments for both UI/API. Identify improvement to existing automation suites (Web UI and API). Log and track issues from testing, verify bug fixes and run regression tests of other impacted features and verify all releases before and after deployment to production. Work with existing and new software functionality to deliver software solutions including; workflow automation, functional libraries, data comparison tools, and test and measurement solutions. Actively contribute in Agile/Scrum ceremonies in Planning, Grooming, Review, Retrospective and Daily Standup. Contribute to Quality process improvement, feature discussions, design and code reviews. Contribute to the release process Effectively communicate complex and/or difficult information to both technical and non-technical audiences Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment supporting many products on varied release cycles. Requirements 1+ years of commercial test automation experience on multi-tiered web-based applications, with emphasis on automated testing techniques, or fresh graduate. Strong SQL skills (any RDBMS), Data Analysis, Data Testing skills. Strong in developing and maintaining test automation scripts using automation tools such as (Python/Selenium/Maven/Cucumber/Cypress). Proficiency in Python/SQL/Java/TypeScript/JavaScript programming. Understanding of data development life cycle (Big Data/BI (Analytics)/Data Warehouse) Experience working in Continuous Build/Integration environments and using code repository and defect tracking tools (Jenkins and Jira). Hands on experience with Behavior Driven Frameworks (BDD) for automated testing in agile projects/products. Experience with SCRUM and AGILE methodologies and understand on leveraging it to achieve Quality Assurance needs required in product deliveries. Nice to have: Experience in testing Angular-based web apps Hands on experience in API testing using REST Assured, POSTMAN and SOAP UI (REST/SOAP & JSON/XML). Experience with Chrome DevTools, Testrail, Swagger, SonarQube, Splunk, Docker. Experience developing mocking mechanisms Experience of database concepts and ability to write SQL queries. Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Knowledge of source control systems such as CVS, Subversion, or GIT is a plus. Certification in ISTQB foundation level.
