- Conduct in-depth market intelligence and competitive benchmarking to analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape, ensuring the product strategy is informed by market insights.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service teams to define and execute effective Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies that ensure strong product positioning, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
- Develop and manage detailed business cases for new products or features, including ROI analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and alignment with corporate goals.
- Lead customer research efforts to gather feedback, identify unmet needs, and refine product offerings to increase customer satisfaction and market fit.
- Define and drive product roadmap based on insights from market research, customer feedback, and business priorities.
- Ensure that product enhancements meet regulatory requirements, adhere to industry standards, and fulfill customer expectations.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from conceptualization through to deployment and ongoing support, ensuring alignment with both technical requirements and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a product backlog, prioritizing features and enhancements based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Work closely with Technology teams to define technical specifications, user stories, and development timelines for product enhancements and new features.
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product development, managing dependencies, risk assessments, and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with IT and external vendors on technical aspects, such as database design, API integrations, performance optimization, and security considerations during product development and deployment.
- Leverage data analytics to evaluate product performance, track user engagement, and identify areas for improvement.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as user adoption, churn rate, and customer lifetime value to measure product success and optimize future iterations.
- Conduct continuous competitive benchmarking to identify new market opportunities, areas for differentiation, and best practices in product development.
- Prepare and present regular reports on product performance, including recommendations for enhancements or pivots based on data-driven insights.
- Develop and track metrics of success, ensuring the product consistently delivers value to customers and meets business objectives.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Data Analytics, and Corporate Strategy teams to ensure product strategy and development are aligned with broader business objectives.
- Facilitate product planning and technical review meetings, ensuring alignment on key priorities, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Engage in technical discussions with internal teams and external vendors on issues such as database architecture, API requirements, and system integrations.
- Act as the product evangelist across internal teams, ensuring all stakeholders are informed about product features, roadmaps, and updates.
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Product Management or a related discipline
- 6+ years of progressive experience in a product development / management role gained at fintechs, start-ups, high growth companies and banks.
- Proven experience in financial services, credit analytics, data/rating products, or fintech is highly desirable.
- Understands credit risk, data analytics and the regulatory landscape in Malaysia and the region
- Product development requirement analysis skills
