Job Description: As the Product Design Team Manager at Shopee, you will be responsible for managing a team of product designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user experiences for our platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and user needs, and leverage various product design methodologies and techniques to ideate, validate, and launch products that meet customer needs. Responsibilities: Manage and mentor a team of product designers to develop and implement design strategies that align with business objectives and user needs Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, data analysts, and business teams to understand business requirements and develop innovative design solutions Apply various product design methodologies and techniques such as design thinking, rapid prototyping, A/B testing, and user research to ideate, validate, and launch products that meet customer needs Ensure consistency and quality across all products and platforms by developing and proposing design systems, guidelines, and processes with local and regional team Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies, and share insights with the team to improve design processes and workflows. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Design or a related field 5 years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role Proficiency in research and design tools such as Maze, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies, including design thinking, human-centered design, and agile development Experience with product design methodologies and techniques, including user research, rapid prototyping, design sprint and usability studies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present design solutions and rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
