- Providing software application support as directed by Manager Applications Support.
- Perform analyses of software application functionality and suggest improvements.
- Ensure effective front end and back end functionality of applications.
- Consult with software vendors, software development teams, internal users, and clients to improve application performance.
- Manage code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality.
- Establish root causes for application errors and escalate serious concerns to management.
- Keep records of configuration changes and schedule application updates.
- Document processes and monitor application performance metrics.
- Providing technical support to clients and internal users in other departments.
- Assisting with systems integrations.
- Maintain and update technical documents and procedures.
- Assist in preparing maintenance plans and upgrade schedules for applications.

- Minimum 5-year of Application Support experience
- 3-year of working experience ideally within a payments processing business
- Working experience with Linux Operating Systems and Oracle Database
- Working knowledge of payment clearing and settlement processes
- Demonstrable experience as an Application Support Engineer.
- Prior experience in providing application support for ACI Acquirer Module, ACI
- Ability to manage code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor application performance.
- C programming skills and background
- Linux shell scripting experience
- Advanced SQL scripting
- Data modelling skills
- Competency to provide broader support across internal departments.
- Exceptional analytical and trouble-shooting skills.
- Working experience in payment processing business is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize workload.
- Maturity in managing expectations: change requests, dealing with unexpected incident, and supporting technical issues through to resolution.
- Be details oriented, with high quality standards and accuracy in work, independent, goal oriented and with self-motivating personality.
- Excellent in English (written and spoken), other languages are desirable.
- The incumbent should be a university graduate and hold qualifications in IT, computing and/or engineering with at least 5 years of experience working as an Application Support Engineer. They should have strong analytical and trouble-shooting capabilities, and a proven track-record in providing support for critical enterprise application.
