- Identify and participate in key external forums to influence policy with regards to ESG matters and amplify visibility for AIA Malaysia in partnership with other divisions.
- Work with industry peers and lead industry groups to facilitate implementation of climate related regulatory requirements.
- Improve current ESG policies, data collection and reporting at local business level.
- Work closely with colleagues to facilitate improved understanding and integration of ESG factors into their business areas, covering both risks and opportunities.
- Assist AIA MY in setting the vision and program for 2030 aligned with the Group ESG approach.
- Provide technical ESG assistance and support to AIA Malaysia companies (The Companies), including mentor and standard process sharing particularly related to SBTi Net Zero goals and regulatory requirements.
- Identify areas where The Companies can improve environmental, social and governance impact.
- Remain up to date on ESG trends and developments and translating them into actionable improvements in the fund and portfolio companies.
- Facilitate the proceedings of the ESG Committee by providing relevant and material updates on ESG matters including regulatory requirements if any.
- Continue to embed the Company’s ESG Approach by developing targets, goals and critical metrics at entity level in collaboration with Group ESG team.
- Embed responsibility for ESG data collection, management, and increase overall awareness of ESG topics across department functions.
- Collaborate with relevant internal team members to ensure regulatory requirements as well as ESG targets and proof points are met on a timely basis.
