Here is where you will come in: As the Procurement Manager, you will lead procurement operations and oversee material sourcing from both local and international suppliers to support timely sales deliveries. Your role includes developing and executing strategic procurement plans to secure the most cost-effective solutions while evaluating vendor quotations to ensure compliance with both technical and commercial project requirements. You will manage the day-to-day purchasing activities, including planning, issuing, and following up on purchase orders and shipment schedules. Additionally, you will act as the key liaison for internal and external stakeholders, addressing any vendor or purchasing-related issues. Your roles include and are not limited to as below: Oversee the procurement of materials and services essential to company operations, ensuring alignment with established procurement policies. Manage supplier relationships to consistently meet or exceed expectations in quality, technology, delivery, service, and cost. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary. Develop and manage the end-to-end procurement strategy-including sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, delivery, and receipt-to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and timely fulfillment. Lead material planning efforts to maintain adequate supply for operations and sales while minimizing excess inventory and avoiding overstock situations. Collaborate closely with marketing, planning, and other departments to provide accurate information on material availability, lead times, costs, and related details. Oversee the return process, coordinate damage replacements, and handle warranty claims with suppliers to maintain service levels and minimize disruptions. Identify and evaluate new suppliers and alternative sources to mitigate supply risks and enhance procurement efficiency. Continuously analyze market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier landscapes to inform purchasing strategies and drive cost savings. Develop and enforce procurement best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance with internal controls and ethical standards. Requirements Demonstrated experience in a procurement role, preferably within the semiconductor industry. Comprehensive knowledge of the semiconductor supply chain and hands-on expertise in procurement operations. Solid understanding of procurement processes, semiconductor components, and industry standards. Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of securing favourable pricing and terms. Effective team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent multitasking and time management abilities; able to perform under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. Strong leadership, project management, and sound decision-making capabilities. Proven working experience in the procurement role. Proficiency in Mandarin, English, and Malay (spoken and written) to effectively communicate with international suppliers, internal stakeholders, and regional partners.
