Assistant Accounting Manager Job summary:
A growing property development company in Malaysia is currently looking for an Assistant Accounting Manager to join the exciting team.About the role:
The role of an Assistant Accounting Manager primarily focuses on financial reporting, an active supporting role for the company as well as in monitoring the cash flow and operations in-line with company values. You are proactive, responsible, and accountability driven with learning agility. You have the ability to work independently as well as in a team while having the confidence to deal with all related stakeholders.What you'll do:
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day accounting transactions.
  • Assist in Tenancy Agreement including management agreement, operational agreement, leasing, collection, business licensing and banking documentations.
  • Preparate management accounts (including consolidation), management reports, annual statutory financial statements, income tax/deferred tax computation, credit management, AP, AR and other related finance matters in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Lead the procurement process including quotations, receiving, inventory management and stocks consolidation.
  • Prepare tenant invoicing, billing, collections, and reports.
  • Assist in the Budget preparation including pre-opening, operational, monthly P&L, forecasting with details information including future potential assets and CAPEX.
  • Liaise with internal & external auditor, tax agent, solicitor, bankers, company secretary and other professional to ensure compliance.
  • Work closely with leasing team in reconciliation of rental, rental collections and liaise with tenant (if necessary).
  • Attend all meeting and trainings as required.
  • To handle ad-hoc tasks
​​​​ What do you need to have to succeed in this role:
  • At least a degree in Finance or Accounting. Professional qualification is an added advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in financial accounting, accounting processes, and financial & projection modeling.
  • More than 4 years’ experience working in a similar role. Exposure to retail assets / F&B / Hospitality / Club Management / Carpark preferred.
  • Good command of language (written and verbal) in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Any other language will be an advantage.
