We are looking for a Freelance/Contract Art Director to collaborate with our creative team in developing impactful campaigns and digital content. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency setting and brings strong creative vision, design execution, and leadership to the table on a project basis . Key Responsibilities Creative Direction & Campaign Ideation Collaborate with the team on campaign pitchings and proposals. Lead content ideation and develop creative strategies tailored to client briefs. Conceptualize and art direct key visuals across campaigns and projects. Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute to creative planning for both small- and large-scale projects. Present creative concepts and storyboards to internal teams and clients when required. Content & Design Execution Research and analyze market trends, target audience insights, and competitive creative approaches. Oversee the visual development of content across design, video, animation, and multimedia. Produce engaging and shareable content across social media and digital platforms. Ensure all creative outputs are of high quality, aligned with brand objectives, and delivered on time. Art direct and guide execution across a variety of visual styles and formats. Coordinate with production teams on creative needs throughout pre-, during-, and post-production phases. Team Collaboration & Coordination Collaborate closely with strategists, copywriters, designers, and production teams to achieve cohesive outcomes. Guide and mentor junior designers or freelance resources involved in the project (if applicable). Provide feedback to the team and support the improvement of visual output quality. Be responsive and proactive in managing deadlines, feedback, and revisions. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Design, Art, Creative Multimedia, Advertising or related field. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in digital media, advertising, or creative agency environments. Strong portfolio showcasing art direction and visual storytelling across digital platforms. Preferred Skills Solid understanding of advertising principles and creative strategy. Ability to art direct visuals in diverse styles and formats. Strong eye for layout, composition, color, and typography. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.). Fluent in English and Malay; Mandarin is a plus. Experience in creating digital content such as social media posts, GIFs, short-form videos, and display banners. Proactive mindset, critical thinking, and the ability to solve creative challenges efficiently.
