The Group wide Governance & Reporting Director will take the lead in transforming the way in which the LBUs and the Group report on the Risk and Control framework and the manner in which Group policies are structured. While the focus of the role would be on simplifying the policy structure, integrating policy requirements into risk and controls assessment, enhancing risk reporting, and enable the Group to have a robust aggregated view of risk exposure and controls, the role holder will also manage the BAU processes for Governance functions with support of wider teams. Job Responsibilities Play a key role in development and simplification of Group policy and manual structure considering industry best practices and regulatory requirements, issue guidance to Policy owners Work with policy owners across Head office functions to refine/ redraft Group policies to ensure these have the right level of granularity and prescribe minimum control standards used for risk assessment Play a key role in leading the design and embedding of policy exemptions and breach reporting process and work with Analytics team to automate Perform review of Risk governance structure at LBU's and Head office to ensure it remains fit for purpose, issue guidance to standardize and embed, identify gaps and work with LBU's to address Take ownership for refining and ongoing review of Group Governance procedures and operating manual and to ensure they remain fit for purpose in line with UK and Hong Kong Corporate Governance Code Prepare papers and MI to support reporting to Governance forums, Project Steering committee meetings and lead Project working group meetings for Governance and Reporting Review, refine Business controls report, work with other functions across Risk to enhance the risk reporting to Risk governance forums, collaborate with wider teams to look for automation opportunities Lead internal responses and support LBU's with respect to any queries pertaining to the internal control system/ Policies and framework from regulators/ external Auditors/ Rating agencies, etc Lead the planning, design and execution of other governance and risk reporting enhancements across the organisation Job Requirements Over 10 years' experience with at least half performing governance, policy and framework development/ risk reporting roles in financial services organizations Highly disciplined and strong focus on execution and delivery and ability to support change, displaying both persistence and resilience Able to manage ambiguity, different requirements, and challenging deadlines. Strong influencing abilities and written communication and drafting skills. Demonstrated ability in project/program management. Data analytics and data visualization skills highly desirable Passion for work and commitment to the cause, with the ability to inspire colleagues Outstanding organisational and leadership abilities Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving Professional accountancy designation (e.g. ACA / CIMA) or equivalent Internal Audit qualification preferred; Experience of IBM OpenPages GRC application is desirable Prudential is an equal opportunity employer.
