You are responsible for formulating and identifying current and future content needs and developing different content creation initiatives. In addition, you work with relevant stakeholders to ensure the effective deployment of resources and tools to support and ensure that writing activities are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with the business needs.The Medical Writer has responsibility for developing the content strategy of various business partners.Your day to day responsibilities are:As a Senior Medical Writer you are a person who upholds the highest standards of scientific accuracy, quality and compliance with all applicable industry guidelines, local and international.Key accountabilities:Apply your broad knowledge of medical writing for the pharmaceutical industry, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including medical, scientific, and commercial partners, to understand client needs and develop tailored and effective scientific content for digital implementationManage multiple concurrent projects across a range of therapeutic areas, delivering on agreed timelinesEnsuring that the content, format and structure comply with regulatory and other guidelines, as well as with Roche best practicesMonitor assigned tasks and manage own workload, taking ownership and anticipating capacity issues and potential solutionsAs a trained and experienced senior medical writer you will provide mentorship and technical coaching to other medical writers in the team, as well as new writers joining the teamKey responsibilities:Your role will require taking responsibility and ownership for upholding the highest standards of scientific accuracy, quality and compliance with all applicable industry guidelines, local and internationalExercise excellent interpersonal/communication skills for effective and professional liaison with the internal team, clients, healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders and to obtain comprehensive briefs and responses to queriesDiligently keep up to date with, and follow, all applicable company standard operating procedures (SOPs)Effectively partner with customers to understand their business needs and how content creation will contribute to their successQuickly and effectively engage resources, utilizing both formal and informal networks to meet desired goals. Work closely with the Digital Hub Chapter Leads and Business PartnersSupport and lead cross-functional initiatives, maintaining a global perspective even when supporting departmental effortsMakes recommendations to improve service and responsiveness to business partnersWhat can you bring to our team:We are looking for upbeat, dynamic individuals who are highly involved and passionate about medical writing. Furthermore, you have:Advanced degree in a biological science or medical discipline7+ years of medical writing experience, ideally within an agency settingNative-level written and spoken English, additional languages an advantageExcellent attention to detail, consistency, clarity and scientific rigorCustomer-service mentality & can-do attitudeExperience with the standard IT-applications, preferably including Google suiteAccountable, focused, precise attitudeContinuous improvement and growth mindsetAbility to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, ability to prioritize tasksCapability to effectively coordinate people across multiple organizations and countriesAbility to manage key global stakeholders.
