- Recording Transactions: RTR Associates are responsible for recording various financial transactions into the company's accounting system. This includes transactions such as sales, purchases, expenses, payroll, and any other financial activities of the organization.
- Reconciliation: They are often tasked with reconciling accounts to ensure that the balances reported in the financial statements are accurate and complete. This may involve reconciling bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other accounts.
- Month-End and Year-End Closing: RTR Associates play a key role in the month-end and year-end closing processes. This involves ensuring that all transactions for the period are properly recorded, making necessary adjustments, and preparing financial statements such as the income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
- Financial Reporting: RTR Associates assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. They may be involved in generating financial statements, variance analysis, and other reports to help management understand the financial performance of the organization.
- Compliance and Controls: RTR Associates must ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (such as GAAP or IFRS) and regulatory requirements. They may also be responsible for implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the RTR process. This may involve streamlining procedures, implementing automation, or optimizing workflows to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury, and internal audit teams to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise.
- Audit Support: Providing support during internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation, answering inquiries, and assisting auditors in their review of financial records.
- Overall, RTR Associates play a crucial role in the financial reporting process of an organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity in financial transactions and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and finance (or equivalent)
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA/ACCA or equivalent)
- At least 1-4 years of working experience in finance-related working experience in multinational company
- Foundation in accounting principles and practices;
- Self-motivated team player with effective interpersonal and communication skills, and high ethical standards
