Maintenance Engineer

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronic, Chemical, or equivalent) with 2-3 years in chemical processes, project management & plant maintenance. Diploma holder with extensive experience in mechanical plant maintenance is also encouraged to apply.
• Computer literate in Auto-Cad with good interpersonal & communication skills
• Able to work beyond normal working hours when necessary.
• Bilingual in English & Malay a must with ability to conduct meetings and communicate effectively to all levels.
• Possess strong leadership and communication skills, pro-active, independent thinking.
• Possess strong organizational and planning abilities, excellent analytical and problem solving skills are essential.

• Implement effective maintenance procedures to minimize production down time caused by breakdown of machineries.
• Implement effective preventive maintenance plan to ensure all facilities and equipment operate efficiently and effectively.
• Initiate necessary modification and improvement to enhance machine efficiency.
• Conduct studies and carry out analysis to ensure capacity of mechanical installations meet the needs of production.
• Initiate immediate actions to recommend for improvement and upgrading when and where necessary.
• Ensure all work request are sufficiently and promptly fulfilled.
• To assist Engineering Manager in the feasibility study of projects aimed at improving the overall plant performance.
• To act as a project manager for any new projects or modifications to be carried out in the plant.
• Assist in developing system and procedures to continuously enhance energy efficiency.
• Conduct constant review on spare parts consumption and initiate necessary purchase of spare parts.
• Analyse spare parts consumption and maintenance cost and initiate effective actions to reduce consumption and maintenance cost.
• Monitor to ensure operation of utility supply and facilities comply with provision of relevant laws, by-laws, rules and regulations..
• Plan constantly for proper upkeep and maintenance of building facilities.
• Monitor closely to ensure safety, health and environmental rulings and procedures are adequately complied by all subordinates, contractors and/or their workers.
• Ensure continuous development and upgrading of subordinates’ skills..
• Involve actively in cost savings or improvement projects..
• Participate in or provide necessary support for all related company activities
• To advise and guide maintenance supervisor in the implementation of effective maintenance programs.
• Provide proper guidance to subordinates to troubleshoot and overcome machine problems speedily and effectively.
• To prepare monthly reports, capital expenditures and evaluate service providers.
