As a Voice Engineer, L2 (FinTech), you will play a crucial role in troubleshooting incidents, managing problems, performing remote installations, upgrades, and providing risk management services. You will be expected to work closely with various internal teams to identify bugs, perform triage, and ensure ultimate resolution of identified issues. Your commitment to continuous learning will be essential as you will be expected to continually improve your technical skills through company-provided training and self-study. Your ability to communicate effectively will be utilised when providing training to other departments.
- Act as problem investigator and manager assisting an incident management team
- Perform remote installations and upgrades for voice recording equipment at customer sites
- Assist L1 Engineers and Technicians remotely with technical issues raised during installation or service issues
- Work on tickets as they come into Remedy, providing timely updates to customers
- Collaborate with internal teams to create time estimates for billable compliance projects
- Identify bugs, perform triage, and work towards resolution of identified issues
- Provide risk management services to deployment and operations teams by reviewing designs and procedures used in production deployment
- Install software and test upgrades in the team's lab environment
- Continually improve personal technical and product-specific skills via company-provided training and self-study
- Provide training to Technicians, Sales, Sales Support and other departments when necessary
The ideal candidate for the Voice Engineer, L2 (FinTech) role will bring a strong understanding of virtualisation technologies, networking and operating systems. You will have experience in a technical support role, preferably dealing with external customers. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised in technical writing and drawing. Flexibility to work non-standard hours to meet customer demand is essential. Preferred qualifications include experience with Wireshark or other packet capture products, database technology such as SQL Server and MYSQL, and Financial trading systems.
- Strong understanding of virtualisation technologies, Networking and Operating Systems (Linux RedHat, Windows Servers)
- Understanding of VoIP and SIP
- Experience working in a technical support role, preferably with external customers
- Technical writing/drawing skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours on occasion to meet customer demand
- Experience with Wireshark or other packet capture products is preferred
- Experience with database technology such as SQL Server and MYSQL is preferred
- Experience with Financial trading systems is preferred
- Server & Operating Systems Certifications: Linux Certification (CompTIA, LPIC, or Red Hat), or Microsoft Certification (MCSE, MCSA) are preferred
- Network/Telecommunications Certifications: Nice NCSE or NCSE, Verint (Impact360), CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CCVP) are preferred
