
Process Engineer/Application Engineer (Manufacturing)

- Assist in planning, creating, and verifying manufacturing processes for new or existing products.
- Continuously improve and maintain process flow to increase efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Evaluate new materials, inks, and components to meet customer specifications and cost requirements.
- Coordinate with the Customer Service, Production, and QA teams for customer sample preparation, production runs, and approvals.
- Follow up closely on customer product trials, color matching, and quality testing to ensure compliance.
- Work with QA teams to investigate and resolve product or process non-conformities.
- Participate in root cause analysis, propose corrective/preventive actions, and monitor improvements.
- Support supplier quality improvement activities.
- Manage and control customer-provided drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Maintain clear documentation of production processes and ensure traceability of changes.
- Lead or support engineering-related projects, ensuring tasks are on track and completed on time.
- Coordinate across departments to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.
- Provide process training to technicians and production operators as needed.
- Support team development by sharing knowledge and promoting technical skills.
- Work closely with Customer Service, QA, Supply Chain, and Production teams for smooth process flow.
- Engage with customers or suppliers for technical discussions or issue resolution when necessary.
- Ensure processes align with company quality, environmental, and safety policies.
- Participate in audits, improvement activities, and other initiatives organized by the company.
- Carry out any additional tasks or assignments given by the Assistant Product Engineering Manager or management team.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering)
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in a relevant manufacturing or engineering role
- Not color blind (due to involvement in color standards and visual inspections)
- Experience in the printing, label, or packaging industry is an added advantage
- Familiarity with developing manufacturing process flows is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Computer literate and proficient in software such as ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Word
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly in product development
