JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders to suppliers, and follow up on delivery.
  • Obtain quotations from vendors/suppliers and negotiate for the best price, the best quality, and the best service to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Source for new parts, materials, services, or suppliers when the need arises.
  • Shipment arrangements & liaise closely with forwarding agencies for all customs-related issues (export and import permit applications).
  • Support day-to-day Administration, the purchase of stationery, office equipment, office general items, etc.
  • Filing and keeping track of documents.
  • Provide administrative support to account and operation departments such as Project Costing, Data Entry of Purchase invoices, and Petty Cash.
  • Arrangement of disposal wastage, recycle bin.
  • Ensure purchasing activities are complying with ISO requirements and within departmental objectives.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar.
  • Knowledge in Purchasing / Inventory / Material (Electronics & Mechanical) and Warehouse Management is an added advantage.
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
