Purpose of this position / Position summary Purpose is engineering and operational solution and support for complex incidents & service requests that includes monitoring and maintaining the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure, with a focus on technologies such as Active Directory, ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) and Entra Connect. This is a niche role as the person will have dual responsibility of designing, implementing and maintaining in the engineering context and technical leadership for not only Active Directory but Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) as well. Additionally, there will be participation in cross-functional projects to enhance the overall security posture of our organization, including security tool evaluations, implementations, and optimizations. Primary duties and responsibilities Operations & Maintenance - Manage Microsoft Active Directory (AD), including Group Policies (GPOs), user accounts, and critical services (e.g., DNS, ADFS). - Maintain identity tools like Entra Connect, AGPM, and Windows LAPS. - Deploy and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions in Active Directory and Passwordless authentication. - Design, deploy, and manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions Incident Support - Resolve identity and system issues, providing 2nd-level support as needed. -Investigate recurring problems and implement fixes. - Keep clear records of incidents and solutions. Automation & Monitoring -Automate tasks with PowerShell scripts. -Improve workflows and monitor system performance with tools like SCOM. Security & Compliance -Respond to security incidents and ensure compliance with GDPR/ISO 27001. -Manage Windows Event Management Logs. Show more Show less
