Marketing Communications Executive Focus on the Family Malaysia (FOFM) is a not-for-profit organisation established in 1997 dedicated to helping families thrive. We provide relevant, reliable and reproducible programmes, trusted resources, and family counselling services to strengthen relationships in the areas of marriage, parenting and youth. We continue to partner with individuals and like-minded organisations to advocate for families and reach out to the wider community. Our mission is to nurture, support, and protect time-honoured values and the institution of the family, and witness enriched families and communities nationwide. We are looking for an individual with the passion and creativity to communicate and promote family-building programmes and initiatives to join us as the Marketing Communications Executive. Reporting to the Communications Lead, this person is responsible to oversee the day-to-day marketing and communication activities aimed at promoting the organisation and its programmes, products, and services, leading to increased brand awareness, audience growth and community engagement. Key Responsibilities: 1. Marketing & Communication Strategies Support the Communications Lead in developing cost-effective communication and digital media marketing strategies to o enhance the organisation's brand identity, credibility, and presence across multiple relevant channels (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, Whatsapp, Email, Youtube) o effectively publicise and increase engagement in the organisation's programmes, resources, and services Implement and monitor the progress of the marketing and communication strategies, and adherence to budget plan Support the Communications Lead in developing and executing strategic campaigns based on relevant and up-to-date research on current family needs, issues, news and trends 2. Content Development & Management Create, publish and maintain relevant, original, high quality and up-to-date marketing content for all channels to support the execution of the various Departments' annual programmes, resources, and services, including special initiatives. These should reflect current family needs, issues, news and trends. Manage and maintain: o A content and campaign editorial calendar o A regular social media content publishing schedule o An up-to-date repository of credible data, information, and knowledge 3. Marketing Channel & Platform Development Maintain and facilitate the organisation's social media profiles to generate audience growth and increase engagement, working in close consultation with the Communications Lead Identify, evaluate, and adopt new opportunities, technologies, best practices, trends, channels and platforms to expand the organisation's presence in the traditional, digital and social media spaces Update, monitor and segment constituents' data into the CRM database for use in marketing communication via the organization's digital channels 4. Reporting, Research & Analytics Utilise available analytic tools to monitor and analyse the performance of existing marketing channels and platforms Provide the Communications Lead with regular performance reports of existing marketing channels and platforms, and highlight improvement opportunities Requirements Degree in Communications, Marketing or Journalism, or any relevant field. Minimum 2-3 years' relevant experience in marketing, communications or a similar role. Strong video production and editing skills (intermediate level or above), especially for Facebook and Instagram campaigns. Strong copywriting, editing, storyboarding and storytelling skills; published work with bylines is an advantage. Familiarity with Facebook and Instagram content strategy, including reels, captions, and audience engagement best practices. Strong ability to plan, prioritise and manage tasks efficiently, with a clear sense of ownership and accountability. A good network of contacts (e.g. creatives, vendors, media) is a bonus. Fluent in written and spoken English.
