Purpose of Job The Event and Engagement Executive supports WWF-Malaysia s individual fundraising programme by: Planning and executing successful donor and fundraiser events and activities. Organising and delivering fundraiser training and knowledge refreshers. Assisting the Donor Acquisition Executive in managing day-to-day fundraising partner collaterals. Reducing the operational burden on the Conservation team by taking the lead in hosting donor and fundraiser events. Developing partial in-house capabilities in event management and training to strengthen WWF s long-term fundraising effectiveness. Key Outputs Identify, plan and executed donor and fundraiser engagement events and activities. Ensure high donors and fundraisers participation and satisfaction of events organized, aligned with organizational goals. Design and deliver effective training for new and existing fundraisers, including regular skills assessments to ensure accurate and consistent campaign representation. Efficient management of fundraising collateral and assets, including ordering, tracking and timely disbursement of assets to partners. Maintain accurate records and data entry to track event participation, training outcomes, and campaign performance. Increased donor participation, retention, and income aligned with organisational targets. Major Activities 1) Event and Activities Take the lead in hosting events to reduce the operational burden on Conservation staff, allowing them to focus on their core expertise. Plan, organise, and deliver donor engagement activities and fundraising events, including field trips, in collaboration with Conservation teams and external partners. Identify and secure venues, and coordinate with vendors, caterers, and partners to ensure smooth, cost-effective delivery. Oversee all event logistics, including transportation, equipment, catering, and on-site operations. Manage budgets and procurement processes, from sourcing quotations to processing vendor payments in coordination with Procurement and Finance. Ensure all events are delivered professionally on time, and within budget, creating a positive experience for donors and fundraisers. Conduct post-event analysis and share results with Head, Individual Fundraising. Execute events under the supervision of the Executive, Acquisition (for fundraiser-related activities) or Senior Executive, Retention (for donor-related activities), and provide administrative support for Major Donor events when required. Events and activities may be scheduled outside of regular office hours, and the candidate will be required to travel out of town as necessary for site visits and event execution. 2) Fundraiser Training and Development Design and deliver engaging product knowledge and refresher training sessions to equip fundraisers with the skills to represent WWF campaigns accurately. Partner with the Conservation team to embed subject matter expertise and real-world conservation insights into training content. Conduct regular skills assessments and feedback mechanisms to strengthen fundraiser performance and consistency. Continuously update training materials to reflect current campaigns, donor engagement strategies, and WWF branding standards. 3) Collateral Management Assist the supervisor in developing and sourcing of new donor acquisition assets and collaterals (factsheets, pitch cards, posters, buntings, booth displays, giveaways, etc.). Oversee the inbound and outbound flow of fundraising assets and collaterals, ensuring timely distribution to partners and, maintain effective stock management. Manage the inventory of stock and liaise with WWF-MY procurement team and vendors to order, replenish, or produce collaterals as needed to support fundraising activities. The candidate is also expected to ensure that the collaterals adhere to the WWF-MY brand guidelines. Cultivate productive relationships with external vendors (printers, suppliers, designers, etc.) to optimise service quality and cost-efficiency. Specifications A diploma or bachelor s degree in Communications, Marketing, Environmental Studies, Business, Development Studies, Public Relations, or a related field. 1-2 years' experience in support, coordination, or client-facing roles preferred; exposure to NGOs, CSR, alumni relations, events, or volunteer-based organisations is an advantage. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, with the ability to draft professional correspondence, basic proposals, and content for online/offline engagement. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required; familiarity with CRM systems is an advantage. Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrates alignment with WWF s core values: Courage, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration.
