The Product Economics team is looking for a Senior / Actuarial Analyst. Product Economics is a global team that supports Asia region markets (India, China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore) by delivering actuarial support to drive profitable growth.In this role you will focus on traditional and advanced actuarial pricing techniques to provide deep insights into our profitability. You will be exposed to a wide variety of markets, products, and perspectives, and the opportunity to influence strategic direction. You will have the opportunity to lead the research and development of new methods to provide actionable insights on new and growing lines of business.The grade level and title of the role will depend on the candidate’s past experiences and qualifications.Responsibilities:
  • Produce actuarial rate indications for various markets and lines in the East region and communicate results effectively to global and market leadership.
  • Conduct analysis of standard actuarial topics including loss trends, rate levels, loss development, large losses, catastrophe load, and expenses.
  • Quantify pricing combined ratio targets that position the company to achieve its short and long-run profitability goals for all lines of business.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders on market and global teams and make proactive, actionable recommendations.
  • Research industry results and competitors' pricing strategies and methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvements to existing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance speed and accuracy.
  • Improve the accuracy and availability of data used for analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or related field or demonstration of progress through Actuarial exams.
  • Knowledge of insurance operations (Product, UW, Distribution), with P&C experience preferred.
  • Passing grade on multiple actuarial exams and commitment to achieving Fellowship in CAS, IAI, or IFoA.
  • Proven analytical skills, aptitude for solving complex business problems, and ability to think creatively.
  • Strong communication skills, including ability to clearly articulate analysis, present findings and recommendations to targeted audience.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment both locally and remotely.
  • Experience and knowledge of various programming languages and tools (ex. Python, R, SQL, SAS).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.
