- Build detailed fundamental supply and demand database and models for packaging base metals categories
- Monitor key macroeconomic and category specific indicators
- Support the procurement teams in defining the purchasing strategy of a specific category
- Produce regular reports and ad hoc analysis based on market developments
- Leverage data analytics to automatize market updates and price models.
- Present data and findings to internal stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics. A Master's degree is a strong asset.
- Prior experience, notably in packaging base metals (metals, plastics) and energy research in banks, trading house or producers
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills and strong knowledge of:
- MS Excel and Power Point
- Previous experience in building commodity forecasting (econometric) models.
- Interactive Data Visualization tools (Power BI) is a plus.
- Programming (Python, SQL, Java or C++ is a plus) is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills in English.
