Job Description:Cohu is building a full design center from the ground up in Penang. Now is your chance to be a part of an exciting opportunity. We're looking for a full-time SQA Manager to manage a dynamic team in optimizing and expanding our testing tools and libraries. Our SQA Manager will effectively communicate with team members and management to coordinate software releases helping to deliver on our quality commitments by working with Software Development staff members and teams in multiple geographies and time zones. The SQA Manager will create a build and integration plan for the software releases and use the SQA consolidated status reports to help development teams prioritize and sequence bug fixes that impact SQA progress. This role requires a balance of technical testing expertise with superb communication and teamwork skills.We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is detail oriented and capable of working in a fast paced and collaborative environment. The successful manager will be obsessed with quality improvement, highly committed to creating world class automation for regression and feature testing and able to develop and drive a high-level test strategy.Responsibilities

Provide strong leadership to the quality engineering team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture across the team and geographically distributed engineering teams
Directly manage Software Quality team, and overall Software test activities for new and existing product lines
Build, mentor and manage Software Quality engineering team
Track individual and team progress against goals and objectives, and evaluate performance of team members
Encourage continuous learning and development, driving professional growth within the team
Develop strategies for quality metrics in concert with engineering and report on these metrics regularly
Maintain existing, and develop new tooling for efficient and consistent integration and regression test coverage
Review requirements, specifications, product design documents, test plans, test cases, and other documentation as required
Creating and executing test plans, test designs and test cases and generating test reports for them

Qualifications

BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field
Excellent English communication skills
Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Proficient in C++; experience in Python and SQL desirable
15+ years hands on experience in software quality assurance associated with ATE or embedded software systems.
5+ years' experience being the Software QA Lead/Manager.
Significant experience in quality assurance processes and standard methodologies.
Strong technical background, proficient in test automation applying proven testing frameworks and relevant tools.
Thorough understanding of software quality assurance principles, practices and metrics as well as software development and testing best practices that foster high quality software.
Hands on experience using modern software development and quality assurance tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills a must
Self-motivated quick learner, able to participate both as a team member and an individual contributor
