Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in building and managing AWS infrastructure, a strong background in automation, and the ability to mentor junior engineers. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our cloud operations. Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Development: Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible/Jenkins. Experience with CI/CD deployment pipelines is essential. Mentorship: Train and mentor CloudOps engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster team growth. Process Automation: Identify and automate manual tasks to streamline internal processes. Explore and implement AI tools to enhance automation efforts. Production Environment Management: Manage and support complex production environments utilizing proactive monitoring solutions. Experience with both proprietary and open-source monitoring tools is preferred. Issue Resolution: Facilitate and lead investigations into issue resolution for various XR services. Collaborate with SMEs in Development, IT, DBA, and Operations teams to identify and resolve platform incidents, providing clear root cause analysis in RCA reports. Cloud Cost Management: Demonstrate a strong understanding of cloud costs, implementing cost optimization strategies and managing cost-saving initiatives across the AWS footprint. Engage in capacity planning and resource utilization discussions with other teams. Qualifications Experience: Proven experience in configuring and supporting AWS infrastructure, with familiarity across a wide range of AWS services (70+). Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with diverse production environments, including various frontend/backend stacks and operating systems (Windows/Linux). Database Knowledge: Experience with multiple databases such as MS SQL, MongoDB, OpenSearch, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. Web Services: Familiarity with web services like IIS, Nginx, and Apache. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of rallying teams and driving positive outcomes in issue resolutions. Adaptability: Ability to work collaboratively with various teams and adapt to changing technologies and environments.
