- Lead and manage the SMT production team, reporting directly to the Production Manager.
- Ensure effective planning and execution of production requirements across all operations.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to improve lead times, responsiveness, and data reliability through optimized manufacturing programs.
- Support business development by coordinating the creation, implementation, and evaluation of strategic initiatives aligned with company goals.
- Develop and execute improvement strategies to enhance section performance.
- Oversee the training, development, and continuous improvement of systems and processes to meet business objectives.
- Monitor and review process reports to ensure system settings and controls are aligned with operational requirements.
- Guide the operations team in planning and tracking project timelines, especially for new product launches.
- Identify process inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to improve communication, processes, and overall business execution.
- Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team.
- Apply strong operational knowledge in areas such as machine scheduling, troubleshooting, and general maintenance.
- Collaborate with the plant management team to implement strategic improvements focused on quality, efficiency, and employee satisfaction.
- Schedule all machines, including preventative maintenance, and work with commercial department to accommodate customer demands.
- Achieve efficiency, uptime and optimization for SMT machines and downstream equipment
- Work jointly with quality staff to determine root cause and corrective action for non-conformances
- Lead and facilitate a positive and productive team-oriented work environment.
- Provide leadership and support in problem-solving activities in production area.
- Recommend innovative solutions to manufacturing and or maintenance problems.
- Develop and maintains ongoing quality and production efforts.
- Responsible for all job functions in the production department, tooling and process engineering.
- Develop group leaders abilities to build and supervise effective teams.
- Take appropriate action when machine or safety problems develop, or notify management if necessary.
- Resolve employee relation issues; coach and counsel employees as needed.
- Investigate new ways to improve the operation of the production department.
- Occasional traveling to other facilities as needed.
