Vacancy: Infrastructure Engineering Manager Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Job Family: IT The Infrastructure Engineering Manager will support the Cloud & Data Centre function globally by leading an infrastructure team of L2 & L3 global infrastructure engineers who administer, support, and install infrastructure services at Johnson Matthey's on-premise and CoLo datacentres across the globe. The primary goal of the role is twofold: accountable for the effective and efficient operation of all JMIT CoLo and On-premise datacentres and comms rooms delivering high availability hosting services across the globe. Secondary is delivering projects to successfully transition new/changed services into the data centres including handover to operational support. Manage overall change controls and planning within data centres. The role will support the Senior Manager for Cloud & Data Centres and broader JM IT infrastructure & Operations teams with the daily Service requests, process improvements, problem resolution and incidence resolution. Your responsibilities: Manage a global team of infrastructure Lead, L3 & L2 engineers and associated Data Center services / suppliers across the EMEA, APAC, and Americas, providing strong positive leadership and performance management. Ensure delivery of agreed project and service improvement work streams. Tracking of Annual Budget: spend within agreed cost, own budget associated to Data Centre and forecast / prepare plans for development and installation of Data Center according to present and future requirements. Coordinates the activities of contractors and consultants for daily operations and critical maintenance (Server, Storage, UPS systems, generators, switchgear, Aircon, physical security, rack/asset deliveries etc). Ensure both internal and external OLA/SLAs are regularly reviewed and achieved to provide optimal level of customer services for the various internal and stakeholders throughout the Data Center operations. Requirements for the role: Extensive experience in IT infrastructure management, including experience with VMware, storage and server technologies, and Windows Operating System. Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers. Strong technical knowledge and expertise in IT infrastructure technologies and best practices. Experienced in designing, troubleshooting, and setting standards concerned with datacentre backup, restore and disaster recovery (Veeam, High Availability, Live/Live installations). In-depth knowledge of Datacentre practices and processes. Must possess demonstrated technical ability and innovative thinking cross functionally, including integrated systems and IT.
