Job Description (JD) Responsible for the planning, organization, management, and operation of the Group's Redhat, AIX & SUN Solaris servers. Liaise with relevant IT teams to ensure that the systems/infrastructure is restored at the shortest time possible and thereafter to diagnose the problem and institute corrective measures. Capacity and Usage Management - Monitor capacity of servers/systems and propose improvements to maximize system availability. Availability and Performance Management - Monitoring of infrastructure services availability, performance, events, and alerts for preventative maintenance, fine-tuning and troubleshooting. Evaluate potential risk in technical areas that could adversely impact the systems. Prepare and Update systems documentation and knowledgebase articles from a technical perspective for purpose of troubleshooting and recoverability. Installation and Configuration Management - Participate in the development of standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with the ISO 27001 standard. Perform regular updates of vendor-supplied patches or anti-virus pattern files (where applicable) to all IT-related components to ensure secure, reliable, and stable operations of the systems. Evaluate server technology, standards and upgrade paths while ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems. Participate in planning and operation of maintenance programs for server hardware, operating systems, databases and/or system tools. Develop and maintain server-based system programs or scripts. Problem Analysis and Tracking - Analysis of trends, events and problems, plan and carry out preventive maintenance to eliminate recurrence. Inventory Management and Software License Management - Maintain an up-to-date inventory of the systems' hardware and software. Software Maintenance and Electronic Software Distribution - Automated distribution and installation of software or software upgrades. Hardware Maintenance - Infrastructure equipment installation, upgrade and maintenance. Compliance and Integration Testing - Testing of new hardware and software or upgrades to ensure compatibility and security of the systems. Key Skills / Knowledge and Behaviors (if applicable) Worked and handle multiple UNIX platform such as Linux, AIX and Solaris with team that support 24X7 Production environments (Remote Monitoring, and Alert Generation. Incident Management based on severity, Change Control System). Additional skillsets in areas RedHat OCP, Container Platform, Dockers and Kubernetes are an added advantage. Must be familiar with Setting up of various hardware (AIX, SPARC, x86), OS Installation and Configuration, OS Patching, Advanced Troubleshooting & Performance Tuning, Linux Shell commands, Basic RDBMS knowledge, Basic Networking knowledge, TCPIP communication trace, Basic SAN Storage knowledge.
