- 5-8+ years of professional experience in game development with a strong focus on level art or environment layout.
- A portfolio demonstrating compelling worldbuilding, composition, storytelling, and polish across multiple environments or biomes.
- Experienced working in pre-production and evaluating production strategies for production.
- Experience with modular asset workflows,
- Solid understanding of terrain sculpting, modular kit usage, spatial composition, player guidance, and gameplay readability.
- Experience collaborating with level designers, lighting artists, and technical teams to build functional, immersive worlds.
- Proficiency in Unreal Engine (or equivalent) and industry tools such as Maya, Blender, and the Substance suite.
- Experience with procedural world-building tools (e.g., Houdini, World Machine, Gaea).
- Deep understanding of performance constraints, draw call management, and collision setup in game environments.
- Experience mentoring or guiding other artists through layout-focused phases of production.
- Clear communicator with cross-discipline collaboration experience.
- Passionate about building immersive spaces that tell a story and support gameplay goals.
