The Tax Business Partner for Procurement (Global) plays a critical role in managing tax-related aspects of the procurement function in line with the Tax Operating Model for Procurement. This position involves providing strategic tax advice, managing compliance of the Global Procurement Office (GPO), as well as responsible for the tax deliverables required in the SEA region concerning the Procurement operations. The primary focus is to ensure tax considerations are integrated into procurement strategies while minimizing tax risks and maximizing savings. Manage the provision of tax advice, commentary, and recommendations to the GPO business and regional functions on all tax and transfer pricing matters about transactions and business projects, ensuring business partnering support balances the need to manage tax risk and the requirement for solutions to be commercial Support the interactions with the Group Tax and Finance leadership in AGH and RHQs on Tax and TP matters Act as a key reviewer in the Contracting Process for categories managed globally, ensuring tax optimal structure of such agreements, compliance with the Procurement Operating Model, as well as coordination with regions (where required) Act as a reviewer, together with the GPO Finance BP, of the Procurement benefits approval process, ensuring that the benefits and the P&L impact are understood and documented for transfer pricing purposes and that all supporting documentation in place Work closely with GPO finance to ensure the fee charging mechanism is prepared timely and with accurate data and liaise with relevant stakeholders for review and validations Implementation of the GPO annual Tax & Transfer Pricing documentation and governance model Support the development and implementation of internal control mechanisms to ensure proper governance of tax & transfer pricing processes in accordance with GPO Tax Operating Model including co-ordination with the Procurement Governance framework Responsible for preparation of the deliverables defined Global TP framework for Procurement Manage the GPO tax compliance (CIT, GST, WHT, etc.), in cooperation with external advisors Responsible for establishing processes and procedures for the management of all taxes, continually reviewing and testing their effectiveness to identify risks, operational efficiency opportunities (e.g., automation) and any changes needed due to new legislation Providing input on global tax reporting obligations to AGH Tax (JCFC, Country-by-Country reporting, Pillar 2, etc.) Support the tax audit efforts by ensuring all procurement related queries are answered in a timely and complete manner and lead tax audit discussions with respect to procurement transactions ensuring that the Procurement Operating Model, benefit model, fee charging methodology and related supporting documentation is presented in a complete and coherent manner to satisfy the tax authorities Undertake the responsibilities as tax business partner for the SEA region, in line with the Tax Operating Model Requirements Degree-level education (or equivalent) in relevant subject area (e.g., Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Tax or Law) from a reputable university Qualified tax and/or finance professional 5-7 years'+ experience in a MNC environment either in Industry or Profession (preferably FMCG/Blue Chip) Advanced verbal & written proficiency in English. A second language advantageous Solid knowledge of Transfer Pricing and Singapore and International Corporate Tax (CIT, WHT); Japanese CFC knowledge is a strong advantage Experience with Tax matters related to Procurement Hubs is strong advantage Benefits What we offer Position in the new Global Procurement Office Competetive remuneration and benefit package
