Business Development Manager, Steam Turbines & compressors BD SEAJoin our Sulzer Pumps Wastewater Malaysia team within Services Business Unit division as Job Title: Business Development Manager, Steam Turbines & compressors BD SEA to help us take service operation to the next level..
  • To contribute to development of growth plans for his/her own customers/allocated territory, and implement and execute these growth plans
  • Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Build strong relationships as well as to identify opportunities for Sulzer across the various Steam turbines and compressors. Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • To create customer visit reports, providing feedback on customer maintenance plans, planned parts requirements, updates on rotating equipment installed base and competitor activities, for review and action with the Head of Sales.
  • Increasing client base
  • Provides in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition.
  • Lead opportunity strategy and drive proposal delivery includes opportunity identification, strategy development, negotiation, and contract closing.
  • Writing business proposals (including support Area Sales Manager to review bid document, calculation sheet and commercial proposal)
  • To take responsibility for their contributions to the RFC for Order Intake and Order Intake GP for the customers/allocated territory that he/she is responsible for
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and Sulzer guidelines
  • Support Account Receivables Collection
Safety Responsibilities
  • To adhere strictly to the company and national ESH regulations and operational procedures
  • To contribute development of environmentally friendly products and solutions
  • To participate and contribute to consultation process in health and safety related activities, where applicable
  • To report all ESH potential and actual incidents to line manager or site ESH manager
  • To help prevent and report any environmental and health and safety violations in the workplace
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
Job experience:
  • Having good relation/ networking with Key Customer in Power sector, and Oil & Gas
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role in Power Sector and/or Oil & Gas (at least 7-10 years)
  • Experience of implementing sales strategy
  • Knowledge of export sales
  • Financial/budget management
Knowledge requirements (professional, technical, language):
  • General computer skills
Readiness to travelExtensive travelJob experience:
  • Relevant Rotating Equipment (Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Compressors, Turboexpanders, Blowers, Fans) experience within related industries (O&G, Petrochemical, Power) is needed.
  • Relevant experience on Pump Services & Electromechanical services (Motors & Generators) will be added advantage.
  • Experience of implementing sales strategy

  • Customer relationship management
