- The Development Engineering Packaging Senior Associate primarily contributes to the technical development of new &/or existing packaging for products in support of global & regional brands.
- This role will be a key member in the development & validation of new products, line extensions, & search & re-apply projects. Additionally, the role will support technology advancements which result in consumer preferred benefits & new opportunities to win at shelf.
- This role will be a key member of & participate on global cross-functional teams.
- Apply innovative and existing packaging technologies to develop consumer-friendly, shelf-winning products.
- Conduct performance and compatibility testing for packaging components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Design, Finance, Marketing, Consumer Research, Supply Chain) to accelerate product development and launch.
- Generate packaging component specifications, finished goods specifications, and bills of materials.
- Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues to maintain production and quality standards.
- Provide technical input to project managers for timeline and milestone planning.
- Lead and perform testing for primary and secondary packaging components.
- Qualify packaging methods at internal and external manufacturing sites.
- Support Product Data Management in building BOMs in PLM systems.
- Write and review lab test procedures, scale-up protocols, and specifications.
- Represent packaging deliverables in Technical Reviews.
- Leverage internal and external resources to identify and apply relevant technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, or related engineering disciplines (e.g., Mechanical, Materials).
- Has experience in packaging development with RD&E function (packaging innovation, packaging development & qualification in lab testing skill)
- Minimum 4 years of packaging development experience.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Experience in primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging development and qualification.
- Strong adaptability and learning agility.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional influence.

- Effective communication and presentation skills, including non-technical audiences.
- Experience with dispensing systems, closures, plastic molding, and packaging materials.
- Knowledge of consumer testing techniques and product performance evaluation.
- Experience in global product development, sustainability, and competitive analysis.
- Familiarity with injection/blow molding and plastic component sub-assembly.
- Proficiency in development methodologies (e.g., DOE) for solving technical challenges.
