Job Overview The Senior Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility operations, maintenance, and management to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective environments that support organizational objectives and enhance workplace experience. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive facilities management strategies and operational plans Oversee maintenance programs for building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and security Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service delivery meets or exceeds established standards Direct capital improvement projects and space planning initiatives Develop and manage departmental budgets with focus on cost optimization and value creation Ensure compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards Lead emergency response protocols and business continuity planning Supervise facilities staff and provide mentorship for professional development Establish and monitor key performance indicators for facilities operations Implement sustainability initiatives and energy management programs Collaborate with various departments to align facility operations with organizational goals Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field 7+ years of progressive facilities management experience Professional certification preferred (FMP, CFM, IFMA, BOMA, or equivalent) Proven experience managing complex building systems and operations Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry best practices Experience managing capital projects and vendor relationships Demonstrated success in budget management and cost reduction initiatives Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Skills Strategic planning and execution Technical knowledge of building systems and operations Financial management and budget control Project management and prioritization Team leadership and development Risk management and compliance Contract negotiation and vendor management Data analysis and performance measurement Strong communication and stakeholder management Crisis management and decision-making Working Conditions Primary office environment with regular facility walk-throughs May require occasional evening/weekend availability for emergencies or scheduled maintenance Some travel may be required for multi-site responsibilities Must be able to access all areas of facilities including mechanical spaces, roofs, etc. Location: -Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia JLL, together with its subsidiaries and affiliates, is a leading global provider of real estate and investment management services.
