About the Company: microLEAP is a Shariah-Compliant and Conventional P2P (Peer-to-Peer) Financing Platform that provides alternative financing for micro-enterprises and SMEs that is funded by Investors. About the Role: The Strategy Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of microLEAP by working cross-functionally across Tech, Credit, Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy, the ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills. This position is based at our HQ in Petaling Jaya, offering a competitive compensation package inclusive of salary and performance-based incentives. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Execution: Assist in the development and execution of strategic plans aligned with microLEAP's business goals. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and potential risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic projects. Data-Driven Insights & Analysis: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges across various business functions. Conduct financial modelling and forecasting to support business planning and decision-making. Provide actionable insights to the leadership team to drive strategic initiatives. Develop dashboards and reports for tracking strategic performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Tech, Credit, Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams to identify process improvements and efficiency gains. Support the development of new product strategies and go-to-market plans. Foster collaboration between departments to ensure strategic initiatives are well-integrated and executed. Act as a key liaison between different departments to ensure strategic alignment. Market & Industry Research: Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies relevant to the P2P financing space. Conduct benchmarking studies and provide strategic recommendations based on market insights. Assist in the development of strategic partnerships and alliances. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyse the performance of implemented strategies, providing regular reports to senior management. Identify areas for continuous improvement and propose strategic adjustments as needed. Support the development of strategic presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Project Management: Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects. Ensure project milestones and deliverables are met within the stipulated timelines. Coordinate with various teams to drive project success and resolve any roadblocks. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Facilitate meetings and workshops to align stakeholders on strategic initiatives. Ensure clear and effective communication of strategic goals across the organisation. Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify inefficiencies in existing processes and propose solutions for optimization. Work with relevant departments to implement process enhancements that support strategic goals. Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements and suggest further refinements. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Strategy, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional qualification (e.g., CFA, CIMA) is an added advantage. Required Skills: Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in strategy, management consulting, business analysis, corporate planning, or a related role. Experience in fintech, financial services, or start-up environments is highly preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Solid understanding of financial modelling, forecasting, and strategic frameworks. Experience working with data tools such as SQL, Python, or R is a plus. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Collaborative team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Preferred Skills: Strong business acumen and curiosity to understand industry trends and their impact on microLEAP's operations. Self-driven with a high degree of initiative and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A keen eye for detail while maintaining a strategic and big-picture perspective.
