- Working with leadership (CFO, Finance Directors, cross functional teams) to develop and implement strategic plans, ensuring alignment across departments.
- Oversee strategic business initiatives (examples include setting up new legal entities, monitoring the effectiveness of key investment items), from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior finance leadership.
- Facilitating communication between the senior finance leadership team and other stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Represent Finance (as appropriate) to communicate with external parties (e.g. MDEC, strategic partners, universities, Finance and Accounting bodies, and government entities)
- Overseeing key projects (examples include initiating talent acquisition strategy to set the foundation for Centre of Excellences and shared services) as defined by the CFO and senior finance leadership team, managing timelines, and ensuring successful delivery.
- Working collaboratively with HR to assist with new hires, including documentation and onboarding, and collaborate to address and resolve employee concerns.
- Identify and understand legal and fair employment practices that the organization needs to be aware of as the team goes thru an organizational restructuring. Perform a Failure-Mode-Effect-Analysis to lay out and mitigate the identified risks.
- Initiate and set the new ways-of-working when the new ERP has been implemented.
- Providing data-driven insights and analysis to support executive decision-making. This would include a technical skillset that involves (but not limited to) financial modelling.
- Experience in data analysis and budget management
- As someone who interacts with team members across all levels, the Senior Project Manager must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills to ensure information and direction are clearly conveyed.
- Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
- Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration or similar field
- Preferably 7 to 10 years' experience in company of similar size and complexities
- Consulting experience, with a focus on operations management
- Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communication
