Job Summary The Field Application Scientist will serve as a key technical resource, providing support and expertise to customers and internal teams. This role involves demonstrating the value of our products, offering technical guidance and ensuring customer satisfaction through successful implementation and troubleshooting. Key Job Responsibilities To serve as a technical expert for assigned products, providing support to customers during product implementation and usage. To conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, workshops and seminars for customers, showcasing the capabilities and applications of company products. To develop training materials and quick guides to ensure customers' competency in using company products independently. To take part in new product evaluation internally and gather feedback from customers, identifying limitations or areas for improvement and relay to principal or product team. To develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as a trusted advisor and point of contact for technical inquiries. To troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely resolutions to resume customer's operation both on-site and via virtual platform. To document routine activities in compliance with company's quality management system. To collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and product adoption. To stay current with industry trends, product developments, and emerging technologies to effectively communicate benefits and applications to internal members and customers. Position Requirements: Minimum Bachelor in Biomedical Science/Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent. 1-3 years in clinical laboratory experience and/or minimum 1 year in field-based application support is required. Familiar with clinical laboratory workflow and diagnostic tests. Basic technical knowledge and understanding of molecular biology, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR & dPCR would be a plus point. Excellent and effective communication skills with good interpersonal characteristics. Good team player and able to work independently. Posses own transportation and willing to travel within (domestic) and outside (international) of Malaysia. Personal Requirements: A customer-facing personality, including the ability to build positive relationships and engage in scientific discussions with customers. Ability to demonstrate proper etiquette and empathy for each customer interaction. Understand customer experimental needs/ objective(s) and provide company solutions that help to achieve customer scientific goals. Ability to support customer technical problems by phone calls, email, webinar, or in-person. Ability to integrate both internal and field-based resources to find solutions based on customer requests. Ability to prioritize conflicting customer request based on urgency and business value. Fluent in English, both oral and written. Additional language skills are welcome.
