Job Description : Key Responsibilities . Strategy and Planning Support and build regional decision sciences team with data science and analytical capabilities Responsible for supporting Big Data analytics for regional initiatives. Leverage state of the art algorithms to deliver value of big data to business. Business and Performance and Management Data mining using state-of-the-art methods, keeping abreast with latest developments in machine learning and applying them to solve business problems Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques Extending company's data with third party sources of information when needed Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance People Management Develop and share inhouse capability for Data science stream ,train and reskill the existing resources. Manage day to day projects, and mentor, coach and motivate junior members for high performance. Work across the Region (Malaysia,Singapore,Indonesia and Thailand) to champion and share Data Science best practice. Regulatory Compliance Ensures all Group Consumer operations are in compliance with Group, local and regional regulations Job Specification . Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc) Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Financial/Engineering/Computer Science/Actuarial Science/Statistics) Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements Relevant Work Experience Candidate must have at least 7-10 years of hands on experience in statistical modeling using machine learning techniques Required Competencies and Skills . Competencies/Skills (Essential to succeed in this job) Technical/Functional skills Demonstrated experience in applying and implementing machine learning techniques like neural networks, SVM, recommender engines, deep learning algorithms etc Strong knowledge of common data science toolkits like tools like R / Kxen/ Python. Familiar in SQL and visualization tool such as Excel, QlikView and Tableau. Knowledge in Big Data Tools (e.g. Hive, Impala, Hadoop and Spark) is an added advantage. Personal skills (Soft Competencies [Core/Leadership]) Strong presentation and influencing skills, required in guiding and assisting teams in putting forward proposals for clients, whenever necessary Good reputation and business network in the Consumer banking community Internationally Proven track record of achieving sales targets, product development and management Builds strong culture of excellent service and growth opportunities to attract and retain top talents
