- Develop and maintain mainframe applications related to cards processing, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement enhancements to existing systems.
- Perform unit testing and debugging of applications to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for production issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in mainframe development, recommending and implementing process improvements as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mainframe development, with a focus on banking and cards processing.
- Experienced with cards related projects.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, VSAM and CICS.
- Knowledge in JAVA API, Easytrieve, REXX, SAS, ABEND AID, FileAid, Endeavor, Expeditor would be added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Banking industry certifications (e.g., Certified Banking Professional) are desirable but not required.
