JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a hands-on, technically strong Service Manager to lead the Powertrain Section within our Engineering M&R Management Department. The Service Manager will be responsible for leading, organizing, and supporting preventive, corrective, and continuous improvement maintenance activities for Powertrain Systems, including ERTG and Engine systems, to ensure equipment reliability and availability for terminal operations. Additionally, the Service Manager must be responsible to deliver, maintain and support terminal Engineering M&R Management for Port Terminal Cranes and RTGs environments in ensuring the RTGs/ terminal cranes improve, efficient to facilitate operations and customer satisfaction. Lead and guide multi-disciplinary teams in executing preventive, corrective, and improvement maintenance on powertrain systems (ERTG and Engine). Provide technical direction and hands-on support in Mechanical, Electrical, and Control System troubleshooting and repairs. Monitor and analyse powertrain equipment performance to drive reliability improvements. Champion and execute Continuous Improvement initiatives and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce repeated failures and enhance operational performance. Develop and implement action plans for performance improvement within the team. Support the execution of the Powertrain Department's strategic goals aligned with MTBF/MMBF improvement targets. Supervise contractors and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. Drive a high-performance culture within the Powertrain team, focusing on collaboration, discipline, and delivery. To ensure the highest level of support and troubleshooting the RTGs cranes powertrain systems. Highly developed and demonstrate the ability to tackle and solve complex problems and implement irreversible corrective actions. Responsible to monitor, overview and analyse the RTGs cranes powertrain systems performance and outstanding repair items. Work hand in hand with technical vendors to come up with improvement plans Performs other related duties as required by Manager REQUIREMENT Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of working experience in maintenance or engineering operations in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment. Proven hands-on experience with Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Systems in heavy equipment or industrial environments. Experience in a fast paced, demanding environment (technical aptitude, interfaces, vendor management, automation, incident management, process development). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of executing effective solutions and permanent corrective actions. Strong technical reporting skills, with the ability to prepare clear, accurate, and data-driven maintenance and incident reports for management review. A proactive, get-going attitude with the ability to take up challenges and act decisively. Experience leading multi-disciplinary technical teams and driving high performance. Agility - Strategic mindset with ability to provide deliverables and build strong working relationships with stakeholders. Ability to improve and make changes rapidly; can adapt to regularly shifting priorities. Multitasking ability is critically important. Ability to lead and sustain Continuous Improvement and RCA initiatives. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong teamwork and collaboration. Ability to work with ambiguity.
