- Oversee the maintenance, safety, and operational efficiency of all facility areas to ensure a clean, secure, and functional work environment
- Lead and manage facility-related projects from initiation to completion, including renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and space planning
- Spearhead the planning and execution of a greenfield plant setup project for its operational readiness
- Assign and supervise cleaning and maintenance tasks across the team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and efficiency
- Monitor the condition and safety of both interior and exterior spaces, including offices, meeting rooms, parking areas, and recreational zones
- Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Track project progress, manage risks, and report on milestones and outcomes to stakeholders
- Conduct routine maintenance and coordinate necessary repairs
- Schedule regular inspections and manage emergency repairs with external service providers
- Implement and maintain workplace security protocols in collaboration with security vendors or personnel
- Manage daily facility operations, including handling maintenance requests and delegating tasks
- Plan, allocate, and oversee the use of financial and physical resources for facility management
- Coordinate installations and upgrades of systems such as telecommunications, heating, and electrical infrastructure
- Ensure equipment and supplies comply with health and safety regulations
- Inspect building structures to assess repair or renovation needs
- Monitor utility usage and implement cost-saving measures
- Supervise internal facility staff and external contractors (e.g., custodians, technicians, groundskeepers)
- Manage operational activities such as parking allocation, waste disposal, and building security
- Administer insurance policies and service agreements
- Maintain accurate financial and operational records
- Conduct data analysis and forecasting to support strategic planning
- Oversee relationships with internal and external suppliers related to building and site operations
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Facility Management or a related field of study
- 10 years of hands-on facilities management experience within the manufacturing environment
- Prior experience handling a greenfield new plant setup is highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of technical operations and industry best practices in facilities management
- Good knowledge of local laws that govern facility engineering equipment operation and maintenance, including safety and environment protection
- Good problem-solving and crisis management skill obtained through years of experience in troubleshooting building maintenance and management problems, and handling crisis situations
- Clear thinking with strong analytical abilities with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Solid foundation in accounting and financial principles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven organizational and leadership capabilities
