- Support site with the identification of potential options that would address business opportunities or site needs
- Assess opportunities consistent with business strategies, plans and site needs to support a project with input from site
- Develop Project Objectives & Strategies and ensure adequate documentation, communication and adherence throughout project development
- Responsible for defining overall project scope with the appropriate level of definition to support project development, e.g. preliminary design of equipment, integration of other non-process equipment design as required, lead case selection etc.
- Lead / facilitate / coordinate gate reviews and obtain Project Steering Committee endorsement
- Lead development of project gate deliverables (stage 1-3) as appropriate (e.g. design basis, safety and reliability reviews)
- Coordinate development cost and schedule estimates, working with other cross-functional organizations as appropriate
- Develop screening economics for lead alternatives, lead evaluation of alternatives, selection of preferred alternative
- Determine appropriate project delivery format and execution model
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
- At least 5 years’ experience in downstream project development area
- Working knowledge or experience in: downstream process technology, project economics, concept selection, process design and optimization, process safety and project management
