This is a full-time, permanent role based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with regional responsibilities, giving you the chance to make a meaningful impact on our team and its continued growth. Reporting to the Operations Manager, Client Acceptance, you will lead the Periodic Review team within our Global Service Centre (GSC) office located in Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru . This team plays a critical role in supporting the Periodic Review process across multiple business sectors. Your key responsibilities will include managing the teams supporting the periodic reviews and remediation activities as part of the client lifecycle process, ensuring full compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and other applicable regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities: Oversee the SEA Periodic Review teams in Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru office and ensure that the process is done according to the SOP, policy and regulatory requirements. Perform second-level reviews on assessments by KYC Analysts. Ensure client servicing in the team is done in accordance with the highest possible standards. Maintain and update SOPs for relevance and consistency. Drive operational efficiency through automation and continuous improvement. Prepare MIS reports for management and stakeholders. Actively review operational performance, identify trends, and assess opportunities for improvement and adoption of best practices. Support any other ad hoc projects related to Client Acceptance Team. Compliance & Risk Management Proactively identifies risks related with but not limited to systems, operations, clients. Ensure that the required compliance quality level is being met by the team and all issues identified are fixed within the deadlines. Relationship/Interaction Management Manage communication with Donor Country Stakeholders and Senior Management to ensure all operational, administrative and compliance function are duly executed in accordance with established policies and procedures. Address queries and escalations and provide solutions that are effective and efficient. SLA Management Undertakes detailed planning to ensure that operational capacity matches demand. Monitors SLA delivery to ensure that all agreed service levels are met or exceeded and flags anticipated issues in a timely manner to the Head of Client Acceptance so that a resolution can be agreed. People/Team Management All team members are being guided, trained, and coached in their professional development. Recruitment, work issues management, performance appraisal are managed in cooperation with the HR team . Key requirements Minimal 5 years of experience in operations management. Possess at least 4 years' experience of KYC, Customer Due Diligence or Name Screening experience in a finance institution or equivalent function. AML experience and good understanding of compliance and MAS regulatory requirements in Singapore and Malaysia is an added advantage. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate to senior management, direct reports and across other business units and support functions. Sound analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent time management, good organisation skills and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Professional Qualifications University graduate with Bachelor of Law / Accounting / Business / Economics / Finance and related academic qualifications. CAMS Certification or other Compliance certification would be an advantage. Good knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
