All rights reserved.Job DescriptionLead and manage Regional Supplier Development & Sustainability (SD&S) within AkzoNobel SourcingImprove overall supplier performance across QDCIS dimensions (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Innovation, Sustainability) while reducing carbon footprintFocus on a strategically selected group of suppliers (PR & NPR), identified via ALPS Strategic Sourcing ProcessOwn and drive supplier performance measurement, corrective actions, and proactive improvement initiativesBroaden sustainability efforts from assessments to innovative process development focused on waste and carbon reductionWork cross-functionally with Business Areas (BA), RD&I, and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) to align sustainability goalsSupport the implementation of supplier improvement programs in line with ALPS and Spend Area StrategiesEnsure selected suppliers adopt carbon and waste reduction targets as part of AkzoNobel's long-term supply chain sustainability goalsUse performance data to set measurable targets and drive continuous improvementLead in defining and enhancing supplier performance monitoring tools and reporting standardsEnsure alignment with AkzoNobel processes, compliance, and corporate valuesExperienceUniversity degree or Master's level (or equivalent through experience)Approximately 10 years of experience in Global Procurement and Integrated Supply Chain, preferably with a background in supplier improvement programsStrong change management skillsExcellent communicator - effective with both external partners and internal stakeholdersStress-resistant, adaptable, with a proactive problem-solving attitudeSharp eye for improvement opportunities and confident in making sound, timely decisionsDemonstrated ability or willingness to apply continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)Basic understanding of Corporate Sustainability Programs, or openness to develop expertise in this areaRegarded by peers as credible, trustworthy, and open-mindedStrong team player - able to build influential relationships without relying on hierarchyProven relationship management skills with internal and external stakeholdersWillingness and capability to grow within the organizationFamiliar with ERP and Business Intelligence (BI) systemsFluent in English and open to regional/international travelAt AkzoNobel we are highly committed to ensuring an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees can be their best self.
