- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, MIA) preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
- Prior experience in F&B, hospitality, or retail industry is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, SST, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, SAP, Oracle, Xero).
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Oversee daily accounting operations including AR, AP, GL, payroll, and bank reconciliation.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor outlet-level profit & loss (P&L), ensuring accuracy in sales, expenses, and margins.
- Consolidate accounts across multiple outlets / entities.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (SST, withholding tax, income tax, etc.).
- Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budget, highlighting variances and recommending corrective action.
- Provide financial analysis to support new outlet openings, menu pricing, and promotional campaigns.
- Work closely with Operations and Procurement to monitor food & beverage cost percentages.
- Implement and review internal controls for cash handling, stock usage, wastage, and pilferage.
- Ensure proper inventory valuation and periodic stock-taking at outlets and central kitchen.
- Lead and supervise the accounting team (executives, officers, clerks).
- Provide training, mentoring, and performance evaluation.
- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and bankers.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (MFRS) and statutory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation, approvals, and internal control procedures.
