Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Director to join our team. This pivotal role involves overseeing and managing our financial operations strategy, preparing comprehensive business and financial reports, and developing finance policies to enhance our financial workflows and cadences. You will also mentor our current finance team, shaping the financial future of our agency and ensuring sustainable growth. Responsibilities 1. Financial Operations Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies that support the agency&aposs goals and growth plans. Optimize financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy. Integrate platforms and solutions to aid in automation of finance processes in conjunction with existing platforms like Xero, HRP, Wise, Aspire, Google Sheets, etc. 2. Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare daily and weekly tracking reports of Profit & Loss (P&L), including both overall agency and departmental P&L. Conduct financial forecasting to guide strategic decision-making. Analyze financial data and create reports to support the executive team and stakeholders in financial planning and strategy formulation. 3. Reporting: Deliver comprehensive business and financial reports to the agency's leadership and stakeholders, including revenue forecasts, project profitability, departmental P&L, revenue by clients and cashflow monitoring reports. Ensure all financial reporting is timely, accurate, and in compliance with regulatory standards. Ensure that there is a data entry cadence that ensures accuracy and timeliness of all data across our various financial platforms like Xero, HRP, Wise, Aspire, Google Sheets, etc 4. Policy Development: Develop and implement finance policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve financial workflows and efficiency. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. 5. Business & Project Profitability: Analyze project profitability and provide recommendations for improving profit margins. Work closely with project managers to track budgets and financial performance. 6. Team Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to the current finance team, enhancing their skills and capabilities. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the finance department Give problem-solving counsel to the management and finance team Assist in recruitment and screening of any new applicants for the finance department 7. Lead the financial audit and management reporting Lead the annual financial audit of Mediatropy in partnership with the existing finance team and external team of auditors Ensure that our financial processes and standards are in line with regulations across the various markets we operate in - Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, etc. 8. Company Secretary Responsibilities Serve as the company&aposs Secretary, managing secretarial duties including transfers of shares, business incorporations and licensing in various APAC markets, audits, and ensuring compliance with local tax codes and statutory requirements. 9. Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and forecast future needs. Provide financial guidance and support to teams across the agency to maintain fiscal discipline and operational efficiency.
