Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily engineering operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all mechanical and electrical systems. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems. Monitor energy consumption and support the hotel's energy conservation initiatives. Execute the Work Order Control System, ensuring timely completion and quality checks. Respond promptly to emergencies such as fire alarms, power failures, and lift entrapments. Train, guide, and motivate engineering team members to maintain high service standards. Collaborate with other hotel departments (Housekeeping, F&B, Front Office) to address engineering-related needs. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations at all times. Requirements Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or certified Chargeman/Wireman with relevant qualifications. Minimum 5 years' experience in hotel engineering/maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of HVAC, M&E systems, building automation, fire safety, and preventive maintenance. Hands-on leadership skills with the ability to manage, coach, and develop a team. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with hotel operations and ability to work closely with multiple departments. Strong communication skills, fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (other languages an advantage). Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required. Show more Show less
