
Sheet Metal Supervisor

- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of sheet metal technicians in support of aircraft maintenance and repair.
- Plan, assign, and inspect work involving structural repair, fabrication, and modification using aluminium, stainless steel, titanium, and other aerospace materials.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, OEM manuals, and engineering instructions.
- Ensure compliance with Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), EASA/FAA standards, and company SOPs.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure completed work meets required airworthiness standards.
- Provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and mentorship to junior team members.
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment related to sheet metal work.
- Monitor team performance, maintain productivity reports, and escalate issues as needed.
- Liaise with engineering, quality assurance, and planning departments to coordinate work schedules.
- Enforce workplace safety, environmental compliance and taking active measures to prevent FOD.
- Diploma or certificate in Aircraft Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in aircraft sheet metal work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Must be willing and able to travel to Denmark for mandatory aircraft type training, refresher programs, or supervisory development workshops.
- Must meet passport and visa eligibility for international travel.
- Travel may involve extended stays (typically 6-8 weeks depending on training scope)
- Strong knowledge of aircraft structures, corrosion prevention, and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using sheet metal tools and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and maintenance manuals.
- At least 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead technician role, overseeing a team of Sheetmetal or fitters.
- Experience working in an MRO facility or airline engineering environment is required
- Familiarity with base maintenance activities involving structural repairs.
- Experience in aircraft/components MRO environments minimum of 4 years.
