Responsibilities : Design, develop and deliver material using a range of methods and platforms. Create course material, lesson plans, and curricula, conduct research and fieldwork. Managing lecturer and students' timetables, including lectures, tutorials, practical sessions, and practical attachments. Collaborating with other academics and lecturers to improve teaching methods and expand the knowledge base. Setting and grading assignments, tests, and exams. Engage with students for organizing activities. Monitor student progression including semester results, intellectual development, potential problems, welfare, visa for international students, etc. Facilitate student activities in external programs like student mobility program. Monitor student's LMS utilization. Monitor tracer study, employer satisfaction and feedback from students. Ensure adequate teaching resources to support teaching and learning activities. Assist the college in areas that allow them to put into application expertise that they teach, including for marketing and promotional activities. To initiate/implement/support Digital Design related events (such as exhibition/sharing/workshop/etc) that would increase the academic experience of students and team. Attend staff meetings as deemed necessary by the Head of the Department. Participate in various committees and support student clubs. Responsible in giving support for documentation for ISO and MQA. Participate in Mentor-Mentee program. Any other duties related to academic as directed by the Management. Program Coordinator : i. Develop and enhance the academic reputation of the school by: Attracting, developing and retaining academics that are renowned in their field to ensure that school has a strong academic reputation. Ensuring that the teaching is recognised as excellent, and the portfolio of programmes is both relevant and attractive to students. Prepare and present OBE report to Academic Affairs and Student Life Director Guide and facilitate the school overall plan for developing, implementing and evaluating programs/curricula and related policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of quality programs and compliance with relevant authorities' requirements such as MQA, KPT, partner universities etc. Establish and enhance the research and scholarship base within the school to ensure that the school is known for its research profile and professional engagement. ii. Ensure the effective operational management of the school by: Developing clear objectives and measurable targets for all members of staff which link to school plans and overarching strategic goals. Ensure the operations of the school are in compliance with college policy, progress and governance. Aligning resources effectively to ensure successful delivery of plans. Do appropriate planning to achieve domestic and international student recruitment and retention targets. iii. Deliver an excellent personalized student experience by: Providing an excellent student experience for all students. Teaching should be underpinned by professional practice to ensure it is up to date and relevant. Ensuring each student receives excellent teaching and quality feedback from supportive academics to allow them to achieve their potential. Work closely with Academic Affairs and Student Life Director in gathering regular feedback evaluation to ensure that the school is focused on continually improving the student experience. iv. Requisition and Efficient Allocation of Resources: Overseeing the allocation of teaching load among teaching staff. Carry out performance review for the teaching and administrative staff for the school. To propose and to monitor the training and other staff development programme for academic staff. Support the Academic Affairs and Student Life Director in the preparation and management of annual budgets for the effective and efficient allocation of the school resources based on the university budget guidelines. To conduct lecturing and facilitating all academic activities, includes critique and monitoring students' work and performance. Core Competency Requirement: Masters or Ph.D holder in Animation, Digital Media or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Animation or related fields. Able to use Autodesk Maya and other animation software. Sound knowledge in 2D animation, 3D Animation and Compositing Effect Proven ability to engage and inspire students in the learning process. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Passionate about creative arts education and willing to go the extra mile to provide quality education to students with guidance. A portfolio of personal work or involvement in professional film and animation projects is desirable
